Want Some Answers ???

Hi there,

Thank you for your last mail. The point is made that God does not want us to let the deceiver waste our life trying to be something that we are clearly not biologically designed to be. This is supported by the Bible. Concerning Deut.22:5 you reply,

>>NO NO NO, You are totally missing my point I'm not talking about the verse in particular, I am using it as an example of a verse that I think is totally wrong and very UN-Christian like!!!<<

This seems confusing, you are not talking about the verse in particular" yet you are talking about it in particular as a "totally wrong unchristian like" verse (???) On what grounds do you determine which verses are "Unchristian like"? It appears the ground is your behaviour or what you think. If I didn't like a verse about something, I could say it's "totally wrong". This makes me feel better and I can go ahead and do what I like. But I'm only fooling myself. You write,

>>Will those people be declined life eternal because they switched roles???<<

No No you are missing my point. All people have eternal life either in heaven of hell. But as said already, "People are only 'declined life eternal' because they will not humble themselves before God, nor admit they are sinners. They reject God's Word and reject the one and only means God has of dealing with sin". God's requirement for eternal life is that we repent and believe. Those who live repentant lives are not 'declined life eternal' and that's God's promise. Heb.12:4 "God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral'. You wrote,

>>How a person dresses has absolutely nothing to do with sexual sin!!!!<<

If how one dresses can encourage “sexual sin” then it certainly has. And it would not acceptable for me as a Christian to go around with just a “G String”. That’s immodest and comes under the area sexual immorality clearly defined in the Bible. Christian women are exhorted to dress in “modest apparel” [1 Tim.2.9]. Christian men likewise. But of course the Bible is primarily for Christians. Those who are not Christians dress how they want. God made Adam and Eve. He intended the male and female qualities to remain as role models for children. Anything that confuses the order that God has made is contrary to God’s Word and to mankind. God is not pleased if men dress like a woman.

Do you want men to lust after you? Do you want to mislead people? If you dress like a woman this will happen. [The Bible makes it perfectly clear that deceit is something God hates] You are confusing the sexes, practicing deviant behaviour and perversion. Young children watch you and from you receive a distorted picture of what a man is like. You wrote,

>>All things in perspective, I don't think God really cares how one dresses, there are far more important things to consider, how can you base a belief on a single sentance, I just feel that the old testament should be witten off completely...<<

It might not matter to you how you dress, but true Christians are to be different and live pleasing to their Lord. They are warned to avoid the lusts of this world as its fashions will pass away. If God “really doesn’t care how one dresses" why is this written? "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair of gold or pearls or expensive clothes" (1 Tim.2:9). Read 1 Peter 2:11-12 4:2-6 now tell me  'God really doesn't care'. Christian practice and belief is not based on one verse but many.  The letters to the churches in the NT [ie. Romans to Jude] give clear guidelines on Christian living. But the verse in Deut.22.5 is so clear one hardly needs anything more.

Christians have accepted the OT as part of the Bible even as Jesus did. The things written in the OT are there for our learning and as examples for us that we don’t make the same mistakes - says the NT in 1 Cor.10.1-14. I mentioned that until you come to God in prayer, on your knees, asking forgiveness you will never receive God's Spirit'. You replied,

>>Been there done... that!!!!<<

Well, I’m not sure [you don’t walk the talk]. Perhaps you think you have. It’s not a matter of what you have 'done' it’s a matter of what God does. When His Spirit enters to your heart you will become a new person [2 Cor.5.17]. He begins a work. Through the Bible the Holy Spirit "convicts of sin and righteousness and judgment" [Jn.16.8-14] He can make us feel guilty when doing wrong. He guides into truth and right. He installs a love of God’s Word. Instead of saying 'the old Testament should be written off completely...' we want to learn more.  When a person becomes a Christian they are like a new born baby and need to feed the new nature with the Bible, Christian fellowship, worship and prayer in order to grow. A Christian who turns away from the faith would never be happy, but true Christians prove they are true Christian’s cause they don’t turn away. You wrote,

>>Why am I the one who is having trouble understanding!!!! You are having trouble understanding me!!!<<

One could say that it is my eyes that have been "opened", although I don't claim that I am right and you are wrong... I merely quoted the verse that says ‘those who don’t have the Spirit of God can’t understand the things of God’ [1 Cor.2.14]. This was intended to show you why are having problems interpreting the Bible and understanding Christian matters. Its true, I don’t "understand" your rejection of God’s Word and the GOOD life available in Christ, because the world can never satisfy.  It doesn’t make sense to turn your back on God’s love, peace and gift of eternal life in heaven.

Some who become Christians were once drug-takers drunkards, immoral, gamblers, in fact all kinds become Christians. A few [not many] have been right where you are now, yet their lives are totally turned around.  One thing they know is that they were once blind, but now they see.

The Bible provides God’s standard of right and wrong. If you don’t follow God’s standard you make your own.  Since, “God is light” then those rejecting light “walk in darkness [1.Jn.1.5-6]. It’s not a matter of claiming anything but a statement of fact. But ALL are sinners, ALL need God’s grace and ALL must repent – Act 4.12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Ac.17.30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world. You wrote,

>> Ahh, so the bible is just a translation, and possibly not 100% accurate, even today there are parts of the original that are not understood, because it is written in a language that was lost...<<

Perhaps you could make your own translation and remove all the verses you don’t like? Or perhaps your living according to your own gospel already? You wrote,

>>Man was made in GODS image. So Adam was like God....but Adam was lonely needed a partner...so... God took a part from Adam (the female pshche) and separated it out into a woman (Eve),....therefore God is both male and female!!! (psychologically of course) (but he may or may not have some kind of physical form) <<

What God has made tells us only a little of what He’s like. The word “image” in Genesis 1.27 doesn’t refer to a human body. God is not limited by parts or definable by passions. The image is intellectual, soul & spirit - that which separates man from animals. This image was damaged by sin and has become evil, mean and vile. Christ is the perfect image of the unseen God.   As for "physical form" Jesus said, “He that has seen me has seen the Father” [Jn.12.45 14.9]. Or are you saying you don’t believe the “best picture of God” is in the Bible? Do you believe God is uncreated and Spirit? You still categorised God as a creature and limit Him by your own perspective.

You WILL NEVER really understand what God is like UNTIL you come to Christ and accept Him as your personal Saviour and Lord.

>>Im not playing any games, its is just what I believe, what I feel with my heart and soul, my innermost being, what I have learned, what I have heard, what I have seen, who can deny the things that I have seen with my own eyes, and understood with my own comprehension.<<

The Bible says, There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death”. [Pro.14.12]. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” [Pro.3.5-7]. You wrote,

>>I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in his message, what more do I need to do then???? <<

Ask Him into your heart. Pray this simple prayer – “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner in need of your forgiveness. I know Christ died on the cross for my sin. Thank you that He died for me. Please come into my heart and life and make me one of your children. I want to live to please you and I ask that you help me to. Make me new and give me the courage to tell others that I know you as my Lord and Saviour. Amen

Will you pray this prayer now?  We could pray together if you want. Don’t leave it! It’s the most important decision you can make. It means the difference between heaven and hell.

I mentioned that 'all roads don’t lead to heaven….How could all religions be true when they contradict each other? You reply -

>>They don't entirely...although they all have the same basic underlying principles of goodness and holiness. ,<<

Well, all religions do disagree on who God is, What is sin, What is salvation, How we solve the human problem, What the ultimate destiny of life and What is the nature of man. If "they all have the same basic underlying principles" why do they all disagree? Why is there so much confusion? If they are all one in essence why do people who have this conviction keep on inventing more religions? Sentimentalism rather than common sense controls the mind that affirms that all religions are the same. If they are all the same then everything is right and nothing is wrong.  All is true simply means none is true. You wrote,

>>The thing is that a lot of christians are so dead-set on what they believe that they seem to automatically reject anything, its a common thing that christian people the reject it first then find the reasons for rejecting it.. that seems like a silly way to approach anything... Most of the people I know of who went to BIBLE college have been programmed like that!!! <<

Christians are not perfect but they should be. I think you are too harsh on them. Not all Christians "automatically reject anything...first then find the reasons for rejecting it'. But some will believe anything even when it has been shown wrong. Often Christians who automatically believe anything are the ones who don’t know what they really believe. They never question anything and are easy fooled.   And all the people I know who went to BIBLE College have been taught to think, ask questions, and research answers. And they should finish college realising how much they don’t know. You wrote,

>>Something to think about:- If you woke up tomorrow morning and discovered that what you believed in was wrong... What would you then believe? Bye, have a good week and you too keep searching for the truth...<<

Don’t you just love hypothetical questions? They help one escape from reality for a while, into dream world. There’s no end to “what if” If I discovered what I believed was wrong' [what, over night – in a dream, nightmare?] then, something else must be right.  If there’s no God – there could be no other right. Without God nothing is right or wrong. Something for you to think about  [although its not hypothetical or funny] What if you didn't wake-up tomorrow morning, where would you spend eternity?

"Searching for the truth" is not something I need to worry about. Jesus said, "I am the way and the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" [Jn.14.6]. In my opinion, because you are confused with your ideas about God, could be the reason for your dressing up as a woman.

Regards
