Mormonism

Hi Jared
It seems you ignore
serious problems with Mormonism. Your mind is made-up and none can change it. It
seems you blindly accept without question what others would reject. Your faith
in Mormonism is indefensible. To these statements you reply -
>>Quite strong statements
from one who has not known me or my journey which somewhat points to your
agenda, not mine. I don't actually believe I have made any such judgements
against you or your faith. What would be the point of me correcting my beliefs
to someone who already claims to know them so well and, based off such value
judgements, would not accept them if I did?<<
But you wrote, “I’ve
never felt the need to defend my faith”. Yes the problems of your faith
in Mormonism are ignored. To me, a faith not worth defending is not worth
believing. Reasons why Mormonism is unbelievable you ignore and side track. You
won’t refute them, but take it personally.
Why? Because Mormonism
redefines words and blinds people to truth. Eg., you equate ‘faith’ in Mormonism
with faith in God. That’s a misguided faith, not a TRUE or biblical faith.
Not a ‘saving faith’ as in the bible. For me, my faith is not in ‘my beliefs’,
‘my journey’, or ‘judgements’. Nor even in ‘Christianity’.
None can have a real
saving faith unless they are born again, as defined biblical. Faith should be in
what Christ did on the cross and the understanding of what that means
(biblically). Jesus said you MUST be born again.
Jesus said, “Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the
God regards all men under
judgement and dead in sin (Eph.2:1 Rom.3:10-12) until regeneration (Jn.1:12-13).
This is how a person becomes His child. When they realise they are helpless
sinners before Him. And Christ had to die on the cross for them, to pay the
penalty for sin (1 Cor.1:18). They humbly pray the sinners-prayer, seeking
forgiveness and inviting Christ into their heart. At conversion they become as a
new baby – a new creation – and start to grow by feeding on the bible and
Christian fellowship. They have a personal relationship with God through Christ.
Only now they can live to please Him. Without this new birth nothing you do
pleases God.
Mormonism poisons you
against this truth. It denies the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for our sins
and mocks the cross. It rejects God’s gift of salvation by grace bought by the
death of Jesus on the cross.
>>"Why does it deny every
fundamental doctrine of the Christian religion?"
Please list these
fundamental doctrines that my faith denies. An emphasis on fundamental, meaning
all the 'Christian' faiths should agree on them. <<
That's hard, the
differences are huge. But you would ignore any list.
Do you really care? I doubt it. More likely this is a side-track. Trying to
avoid the fact you were it wrong - The bible and the Book of Mormon are NOT
the same after all. But if you are sincere, why don’t you list
'every fundamental doctrine' of “all
the Christian faiths” not denied by Mormonism. Yeah right. I bet you
would.
Do you honestly NOT know
that Mormonism teaches all other churches are wrong? And all their creeds are an
abomination in the sight of God and all their teachers are corrupt? The
>>Finally, to address your
concerns with Galatians 1:8, please define the gospel as referenced in this
verse. I think because it mentions an angel you are automatically applying it to
So I explain: The true
gospel is not ‘Mormon ceremonies’, its defined by Paul (Gal.2:16-21 3:2, 6-14,
26.
“But
though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let
him be accursed.”
Mormonism has its origin
from an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN (
Interesting how the bible
provides everything needed to live a true holy life. It guards, warns, guides,
protects, gives wisdom, comfort, truth etc. Everything for God’s people
that is. And we are forewarned of the coming of Joseph Smith and his deception.
Mormonism has another gospel. And you need to explain why you think it’s the
same as found in the bible. I look forward.
Kind regards
Mark
